      Friday, Eldredge & Clark, LLP will host its Tax Update Seminar in Little Rock on Wednesday, November 13, 2019. This one-day comprehensive program highlights the most important and up-to-date information on tax law.  If you are an accountant or tax professional, you won’t want to miss this opportunity as the firm’s tax attorneys bring their wealth of knowledge directly to you. Duke     Employee Benefits – What Amendments You Know About and When To Prepare For Them        In this presentation, we will talk about upcoming amendments including the new 2019 EPCRS Rev. Speaker: Taylor A. Stockemer     The Impact of Recent Changes in Tax Law on Like-Kind Exchanges   This topic will explore the impact of recent tax law changes on like-kind exchanges. We will also take a look at planning considerations for complex forward and reverse like-kind exchanges.  Speaker: Joseph G. Nichols     Trust and Estate Planning Attorney Panel – An Update On Recently Enacted Legislation and A Look At The Top 5 Bungles You Might Be Making Our trust and estate planning attorneys will review and discuss recently enacted Arkansas legislation regarding directed trusts, grantor trust rules and qualified spousal trusts, and the hot topic among estate planners at the federal level – the SECURE Act.  They will also discuss tax/accounting bungles that they frequently encounter, including trust accounting issues; Form 990/public support test issues; commonly misinterpreted/overlooked elections; grantor trust reporting issues and allocation of GST exemption on gift tax returns. Eaves     Focus on Healthcare Reform – A Look at Health and Welfare Plan Updates This presentation will focus new and upcoming developments in healthcare reform including individual HRAs, association health plans, and Form 5500 requirements, as well as a review of the employer, shared responsibility obligations in light of continued enforcement actions by the IRS.
